A friend asked if I would make Skylander cookies. My response... "what is a Skylander?" I guess I'm not up on such things. So I did my research and learned way more than anyone should ever know about the Skylander Giants. And then I made lots of cookies.
I made all the Skylander elements. I figured those wouldn't be too difficult. I made them on huge 4.5" inch scalloped circles so because of the size, they took quite a bit of time to decorate them all, not to mention making the many different colors of icing.
Fire element
Tech element
Life element
Water element
Air element
Magic element
Earth element
Undead element
I started by flooding each large cookie with the designated color from that element using my yummy homemade glaze icing
Then I outlined each design of the element that coordinated with the color of the element. Sorry about the green over this picture, I don't know why it is like that.
and then I filled the white area of each design with icing. It was nice to see them come together.
After they were all done and dry, I bagged each cookie and added a personalized cookie tag.
I decided to also try my hand at a few of the Skylander Giants. I was a bit scared as the Giants are so very detailed, but I was very excited with how they came out.
Chill
Stealth Elf
Chop-Chop

The world of Skylanders is built up from eight elements. Fire, Tech, Life, Water, Air, Magic, Earth and Undead. Each Skylander is associated with one of these elements. I guess it's a pretty popular game.
