Winnie The Pooh...
May is almost over. I have SO much to share with you. It's been such a crazy busy month. Unfortunately I haven't had a moment to gather my thoughts and watermark photos and create tutorials. But big plans coming. I promise! In the meantime I'm going to do a quick post of cookies done recently.
My daughter and I made these Winnie The Pooh cookies for a friend of hers. They are one of the very first set of cookie cutters that I ever received. They were a gift from my mom. When I look for these cookie cutters online now, they are rare to find and worth quite a bit. I feel like I have a precious gem in these, especially since they were from my mom.
My very favorite character of all time has always been Eeyore. Grumbly, blue eeyore. He's so opposite of everything about me, but I've always loved him.
My mom's favorite character has always been Tigger. She even had a cat named Tigger.
and of course Piglet
and then there's Winnie The Pooh. I still can't say or read this without crying, but this is what I had written in a dedication page in my son's high school yearbook: "Promise me you'll always remember. You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." - Christopher Robin - Nick you are such a blessing. We are proud of the young man you have become. We love you more than you can imagine. Mom and Dad.
Did I mention that Nick and I had matching Disney overalls? Yep, I'm that kind of mom. Poor Nick ;-)
and you can't make Winnie the Pooh cookies without making a hunny jar :-)
Nick is all grown up now, but thankfully I still have Abigail to share my Winnie the Pooh obsession with :-)
More cookies to come. As soon as we finish up May, there will be fun projects and cookie challenges and tutorials and TIME. Yes, there will. Thanks for being patient with me.
