What Will It Bee? Gender Reveal Party Results

My daughter and her husband had their gender reveal party last night.  Mellissa wouldn't let me make actual gender reveal cookies because she didn't want me to know the gender before her, but she let me choose the theme of the party (so I could make cookies) and I decided on "What Will It Bee". They had an ultrasound done and the doctor told them to look away during the part of the scan that would reveal the gender. Then the doctor put the results in a sealed envelope and my daughter took the envelope to the bakery. The bakery would then put either blue or pink icing in the middle of the cake based on what was inside the envelope. Once they cut into the cake in front of the family, we would all know if it was a boy or a girl. Pretty fun huh!

So what color was the icing in the middle of the cake? It was BLUE! Mellissa and Irik are going to have a bouncing baby BOY! Abigail will have a baby brother named Aidan! We're all very excited. And I made cookies and lots of new cookie cutters too .

And The Award Goes To...

I made some cookies for a friend's movie party. They were all getting together to watch an award show and so I made cookies because you know, that's what I do.
I really wanted a cookie cutter of a winning statue. There are a couple on the market, but none that I was happy with. They were either too small or too thin or really didn't look like a winning statue.
I'm very happy with this statue cookie cutter. You can find it in my Etsy shop.
Here it is outlined. To copy this design, you can click on the picture and then right click on it and save it to your desktop.
 Lots of statue cookies
and the movie clapper. The cookie cutter I used is from CopperGifts.com
and the movie camera. Again this cookie cutter came from CopperGifts.com
Doesn't Abigail look like she's dressed and ready for the award show :-)

I still haven't taken the time to watermark all the graduation cookie photos from the last couple weeks, but I have a very large archive of cookie photos that I still haven't posted. I'm just a bit behind. Cookie decorating takes so much time! Off to bake... announcement hopefully coming tomorrow!
