Every Accomplishment Starts With The Decision To Try

A triathlete is a cyclist, a runner and a swimmer. They go the distance and push their bodies to do more than I can even imagine. Sometimes more than they can imagine too. I found this saying "Every Accomplishment Starts With The Decision To Try" and I used that as my inspiration for this set of cookies.

I love this set with a runner, a cyclist, a swimmer, a wave, a shoe and a bicycle and a whole bunch of stars to go with them. A friend of mine has a friend that is a very strong athlete and she was in an accident - hit by a car while cycling. So she wanted cookies to lift her up and these are what I came up with.

Then I did a set in red and blue too.
I started by making a cyclist cookie cutter, all cutters available here

 I love the simplistic design
and a bicycle available here
and then I made a runner cookie cutter available here

and a super cool running shoe available here

 and a swimmer available here

 I love these!
and a really fun wave that sparkles with sanding sugar, cookie cutter available here

and a mini star available here

and then I used my scallop circle cookie cutter for this saying to tie them all together, scallop circle cookie cutter available here
Then the same customer also asked me to make cookies for her cycling race team

so I was able to make more of the cyclist cookies that I love

So as you can see, I had lots of fun with these triathlon cookies and in my two favorite colors too!
My new little grandson is now 5 days old. We were able to babysit Abigail while my daughter and grandson were in the hospital. Baby and mommy and daddy are doing well. I rode my bike on Saturday out to their house for a visit.
Lots to do before Thanksgiving. I hope you all have a wonderful week and have MUCH to be thankful for. I sure do!

Seth the Sea Otter Cookies and Free Printable Cookie Tags

One of our favorite places to go is the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Thanks to my mom, she bought us season passes and we get to go see wonderful sea creatures often. My son's favorite is the sun fish. My mom's favorite is the jelly fish. Mellissa's favorite is the sea otter. My favorites are the sea turtles and of course, the sea otters. Once I went kayaking in Monterey Bay and the sea otters come right up to your kayak. Legally you're not allowed to go within 50 feet of them, but they do come right to you. It's beyond cool. They are such awesome creatures!

So I made Sea Otter cookies and I named him Seth. You can get the cookie cutter HERE. I absolutely LOVE him.

I absolutely love how these cookies came out. They are my very favorite right now!

I made some cute Sea Otter cookie tags and shared them here so that you can download them, personalize them and use them for your own cookie bags.

I had so much fun at the Monterey Bay Aquarium with Mellissa and Abigail.
At every exhibit, Abigail did the sign language sign for "MORE".

Mellissa took all these wonderful pictures of me and Abigail at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I obviously should have taken the camera and gotten some pictures of her too. VERY pregnant and walking throughout the aquarium. So cute.
See why I love these so much?
Do you have an aquarium near you? Which sea creature is your favorite?

Snowman & Snowgirl Cookies and Free Printable Cookie Tags

Is it snowing where you live? We really don't get snow where I live, but we can drive about 3 hours away and play in snow and ski and build snowmen and go sledding. So it's a little weird to make snowman cookies when it's 65 degrees, but I did it anyway. You can probably already figure out why I made snowman cookies, but if not, you'll see why at the bottom of this post.

So I made a snowman and I named him Stephen the Snowman. I just love his hat. He has a nice large face with room enough for a large carrot nose and the hat is large enough for some detail in the middle. The shape and design of the hat is my favorite part. You can get your own snowman cookie cutter in my Etsy shop.

and then I decided that Stephen needed a mate before he melted away after the winter season. So I made Sarah the Snowgirl with a big bow. You can get your very own Sarah the Snowgirl in my Etsy shop.

Aren't they so cute together?

and I made some cookie tags that you can download and personalize for your own by clicking here
and so why did I really really want to make these snowman & snowgirl cookies? Yep, you guessed it, my little granddaughter, Abigail inspired me...

So what about you? Do you live where it snows? Do you like to build a snowman?
